Pilot Theatre's Production of NOUGHTS & CROSSES Will Tour in Autumn 2020

Pilot Theatre have announced that their award-winning production of Sabrina Mahfouz's adaptation of Malorie Blackman's critically acclaimed young adult novel of first love in a dangerous fictional dystopia a?" Noughts & Crosses will be heading back out on tour in the Autumn.

Casting Announced For LILITH & KARAOKAY at the Bunker

For Takeover week 6, Sabrina Mahfouz (A History of Water in the Middle East, Royal Court) will use The Bunker as a platform for conversation with this double bill of works exploring issues around abortion, miscarriage, surrogacy, still-birth, infertility and shame. Hoping that this celebration of womxn's bodies will encourage people to speak out, there will be a counsellor available post-show for anyone who feels a need to talk after seeing the performances.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced the summer season 2020 will include Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, Antony & Cleopatra, a two-day event 'Globe 4 Globe: Shakespeare and Climate Emergency', a symposium 'Shakespeare and Race', a Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank production of Macbeth with 20,000 free tickets to school children, the return of family festival 'Telling Tales', and a new dramatisation of Ovid's Metamorphoses by our resident writers.

The Bunker Theatre Announces its Final Season

The full programme of events and performances which make up The Bunker's final season has now been announced. The eight-week Takeover Season will feature over 80 artists, 70 performances and a host of workshops, lectures and events, before The Bunker closes due to proposed redevelopment at the end of March 2020. For this Takeover Season, a different artist will curate each week, taking over the space and the programme as well as the bar and the box office, determining their own rules of engagement for the tenure.

Casting Announced For A HISTORY OF WATER IN THE MIDDLE EAST at Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Upstairs

Laura Hanna and David Mumeni have been cast alongside musician Kareem Samara and Sabrina Mahfouz in the world premiere of her new play A History of Water in the Middle East directed by Stef O'Driscoll. With design by Khadija Raza, lighting design by Prema Mehta, composition by Kareem Samara (performed live on stage), and sound design by Dominic Kennedy. It will run in the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Upstairs Thursday 10 October 2019 a?" Saturday 16 November 2019 with press night on Monday 14 October 2019, 7pm.

The first production will be a revival of David Greig's visionary early play Europe, directed by Michael Longhurst in his first production as Artistic Director of the Donmar. Ahead of launching their 10th annual programme of new plays on tour, George Perrin and James Grieve have announced that they are stepping down as Artistic Directors of Paines Plough.
