Posthumous Concert Album 'Opus' Coming from Ryuichi Sakamoto

The estate of Ryuichi Sakamoto and Milan Records will release Opus, a collection of works performed and composed by the late legendary composer from his final concert in the fall of 2022, before his death in early 2023. Making its debut alongside the preorder is the lead single “Tong Poo”.

KAGAMI Comes to the Roundhouse in December

Following critically acclaimed, sold out runs at The Shed in New York and at this year’s Manchester International Festival, the Roundhouse has announced that Ryuichi Sakamoto’s exquisite, magical and ground-breaking collaboration with Mixed Reality pioneers Tin Drum, Kagami, will play a four week run from 29 December 2023 - 21 January 2024.

Experimental Pop Auteur Cornelius Releases YMO Cover 'Cue' & Announces Global Tour

The video’s release is a tribute considering the recent passing of Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yukihiro Takahashi in 2023.  Over the years, Oyamada has collaborated with each member of YMO separately as well as performing in their touring band as well. Cornelius also played in Japanese supergroup METAFIVE with Takahashi and released two albums.
