Rob Lowe, star of the new FOX comedy THE GRINDER took to Twitter last night to share the news that Tony winning actor Jason Alexander will join the cast of his show.

THE OBJECT LESSON created and performed by Geoff Sobelle and directed by David Neumann, opened last night, September 9, at the Kirk Douglas Theatre. Performances continue through October 4, 2015. BroadwayWorld has photos from the opening night festivities below!

Vanessa Williams, who made history in 1983 as the first African-American woman ever to be crowned Miss America, but then was forced to surrender the crown 10 months later when nude Penthouse photos of her were revealed, will return to this year's pageant as a judge.

Vanessa Williams, superstar in film, television, stage, and in recordings, will make her Provincetown debut this Labor Day Weekend, on Sunday, September 6 at 6:30 PM. Her one-night-only performance will be the finale of this year's inaugural Broadway @ Town Hall concert series produced by Mark Cortale and hosted by SiriusXM Radio's Seth Rudetsky and benefiting the Tyler Clementi Foundation.

Center Theatre Group and El Teatro Campesino present "Popol Vuh: Heart of Heaven", adapted and directed by Kinan Valdez and featuring members of the Boyle Heights community. The show runs Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11 at 3:30 p.m. at Grand Park in Downtown Los Angeles.

Martin Sherman's 'Bent,' a groundbreaking drama about the rare power of love in the most inhumane conditions, opened last night, July 26 at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum. Rock musical 'Girlfriend' opened at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre last Sunday, July 19 at 6:30 p.m. Featuring a book by Todd Almond and music and lyrics by Matthew Sweet, the rock musical about first love will continue through August 9. Shapiro, at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street). Mr. Alexander steps into the role created by Mr. David in the comedy about a death in the family. Larry David will play his final performance in FISH IN THE DARK on Sunday, June 7. The limited engagement run of the production, originally scheduled through June 7, is extended for six weeks through Sunday, July 19.

Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that audiences can expect the studio's new animated feature 'Storks' to arrive in theatres on September 23, 2016. The announcement was made by Dan Fellman, President, Domestic Distribution, and Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, President, International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

Thieves tells the story of a dysfunctional family in East Texas that descends into chaos when their matriarch dies. Performances begin Wednesday, March 18, 2015. From a field of 12 local high school students, Shaila Essley, Philip Patrick Bucknor and Wayne R. Mackins-Harris have been selected to represent Los Angeles in the August Wilson Monologue Competition (AWMC) national finals. Contestants this year featured high school students from four Southern California cities, who performed in the regional finals at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum, Monday night, March 2, 2015.
