THE SKIVVIES

The Skivvies are Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley, award-winning NYC actor/musicians doing stripped down versions of eclectic covers and comedic, genre-hopping mashups. They return to Joe's Pub with their beloved holiday show. Not only are the arrangements stripped down - cello, ukulele, glockenspiel, melodica - but the Skivvies literally strip down to their underwear to perform. It's undie-rock at its finest. Featured in People Magazine's Hottest Bodies Issue as the Most Playful performers, the Wall Street Journal calls them "highly original... smart... ingenious." Molina (Rock of Ages, Sweeney Todd, Candide) and Cearley (Pageant, A Midsummer Night's Dream, All Shook Up) started The Skivvies on YouTube becoming sensations with their covers of artists like Robyn, Carole King and Rihanna. Their live show, featuring Tony winning special guests, is wildly fun, packed with big voices, crazy harmonies, surprises, but no pants.

The Civilians return to Joe's Pub with a brand new installment of their ongoing LET ME ASCERTAIN YOU Cabaret Series. Each one-night-only event centers on a theme and features actors performing interviews and original songs from the next generation of musical theater composers. LET ME ASCERTAIN YOU: War on Christmas is an evening of verbatim interview excerpts and new music that gives voice to diverse cultural and religious minorities in America, focusing on their experiences and responses to the commercialization of Christmas. This new cabaret is curated and directed by The Civilians 2015-16 R&D Group Members Suzanne Agins and Benjamin Kamine in collaboration with The Civilians' 2015-16 Field Research Team.

Women of Letters is everyone's favorite literary salon! Every month, New York's best and brightest women come together on stage to celebrate the lost art of letter writing. Expect laughter, tears, and camaraderie as host Sofija Stefanovic welcomes guests reading "a letter to my 80-year-old self". Together on stage for the first time ever, Women of Letters will welcome Bridget Everett, Emma Straub, Mamie Gummer, Erin Ryan, Michelle Buteau and Alison Stewart.

The Mike Errico Holiday Show is a highlight in a year that has been filled with them. While maintaining a career as a recording artist and producer for TV and film, he has been teaching at Yale University and NYU's Clive Davis School of Recorded Music, where his guests have included Amanda Palmer, Benny Blanco, Jonathan Coulton, Ryan Miller, and others. In keeping with a long-standing Holiday Show tradition, Mike will distribute gifts, known as "Holiday Omens." Recipients will be invited to interpret the Omen's personal significance in the coming year. Hilarious, poignant or cautionary, they have proven to be alarmingly accurate.

This December, Dan Finnerty & the Dan Band returns to Joe's Pub to celebrate the holiday season with the hits off their Christmas album Ho: A Dan Band Xmas.
