Last night a brand new music video for 'Tight Connection To My Heart,' from Girl From The North Country was released as part of Harlem Week's Virtual Music Festival.

As BroadwayWorld reported this morning, the original cast album to the Broadway musical Girl from the North Country will be released this spring by Sony Music/Legacy Recordings. Celebrated playwright Conor McPherson boldly reimagines the songs of the legendary Bob Dylan in Girl from the North Country - the soaring masterwork about the dreams we keep close, the people we hold dear, and the place we call home. The album was recorded on Monday, March 9th. Preorder and release date information will be available soon.

Darren Day will join the cast of Footloose The Musical as Reverend Moore in the brand-new UK Tour, which plays at The Alexandra, Birmingham from Monday 4 until Saturday 9 May 2020.

The producers of Girl From The North Country announced today that beginning with the show's first preview, Friday, February 7, a limited quantity of $39 tickets will be available via both rush and a digital lottery for each performance.

It was announced today that Matt McGrath (Cabaret, A Streetcar Named Desire) will join the Broadway production of the hit musical Girl from the North Country in the role of Reverend Marlowe. McGrath replaces David Pittu who has left the production due to a scheduling conflict.

Casting has been announced today for the Broadway production of the hit musical Girl from the North Country. Reprising their roles from the production at The Public Theater will be Todd Almond, Jeannette Bayardelle, Matthew Frederick Harris, Caitlin Houlahan, Robert Joy, Tony Award nominee Marc Kudisch, Luba Mason, Ben Mayne, Tom Nelis, Tony Award nominee David Pittu, Colton Ryan, John Schiappa, Kimber Elayne Sprawl, Rachel Stern, Chelsea Lee Williams, and Tony/Academy Award nominee & two-time Emmy Award winner Mare Winningham. Joining the production in the role of Nick Laine will be Jay O. Sanders. Complete casting will be announced soon.

The National Theatre, BOS Productions and Runaway Entertainment, the producers of Peter Pan currently playing at Troubadour White City Theatre, today announced that the production will close on Sunday 1 September after six weeks of performances.

The critically-acclaimed hit Girl from the North Country, written and directed by Conor McPherson with music and lyrics by Bob Dylan, is to play at the Gielgud Theatre in the West End for a limited season from 10 December 2019 to 1 February 2020. Girl from the North Country opens in the West End following a run at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, Toronto, opening 28 September 2019, and prior to the Broadway production opening in March 2020 at The Belasco Theatre.

Performances will begin Saturday, September 28 and run until Sunday, November 24. The media performance is scheduled for Sunday, October 6.

After a week of sell-out shows at the Daegu Opera House, 4 - 7 July, Selladoor Worldwide and the cast and creatives of Flashdance the Musical scooped the 3 biggest awards at the Daegu International Musical Festival Awards. Joanne Clifton Strictly Come Dancing Champion playing leading lady Alex Owens won Best Actress; last year Selladoor's production of Spamalot also won Best Actress, Sarah Harlington as Lady of the Lake. Playing opposite Joanne in the role of Nick Hurley, Ben Adams of a1 won Best Actor and Selladoor Worldwide proudly took home the award for Best Musical.

Flashdance - The Musical made a welcome return in 2017 for an extensive UK tour. Starring Strictly favourite Joanne Clifton and singer-songwriter Ben Adams, Flashdance arrives at The Bristol Hippodrome on Monday 25th June.
