The Olivier Award-winning production of Mike Kenny's stage adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel The Railway Children - Live on Stage will be extending its run at King's Cross Theatre until Sunday 3 January 2016. Originally planned to close on 6 September, the production will run for an extra four months due to popular demand. Tickets for the new period will go on sale at 10.00am on Friday 10 July.

The Olivier Award-winning production of Mike Kenny's stage adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel The Railway Children will be returning to London on 16 December 2014, but moving to a new home, the King's Cross Theatre, where a purpose built 1,000-seat theatre, complete with a railway track and platforms, and with a state of the art heating system, will be specially created. The site, on King's Boulevard, behind King's Cross Station, has been loaned to the production for the duration of the run by Google, who own the land. The York Theatre Royal production, which is in association with the National Railway Museum, will once again feature a live 60-tonne steam locomotive and Gentleman's Carriage.
