Casey Stangl directs the world premiere of The Curse of Oedipus, written by Kenneth Cavander and developed by The Antaeus Company. Opening weekend for the fully double-cast production runs today, June 19 -22 at the Antaeus Theater in NoHo.
Burning Coal Theatre Company announced today that A.J. Fletcher Foundation has awarded the Raleigh-based professional theatre a $37,500 matching grant in support of its upcoming production of The Iron Curtain Trilogy by the British playwright David Edgar. The Trilogy will be performed in repertory from September 4 - 27, 2014 and then moved to London's Cockpit Theatre for a three week run November 13 - 30, 2014. These performances will be the first ever of this powerful trilogy.

This is Sophie Okonedo's first Tony nomination and her Broadway debut. She starred as Cressida in the National Theatre's Troilus and Cressida (1999). Okonedo was nominated for an Academy Award for Hotel Rwanda in 2004 and a Golden Globe for Tsunami: The Aftermath in 2006.
