InDepth InterView: Linzi Hateley Talks New 54 Below Show, Plus CARRIE Memories, LES MISERABLES, LONDON ROAD Movie & More

Today we are talking to an accomplished and charismatic West End and Broadway star who originally made a name for herself as the title character in the infamous page-to-stage adaptation of Stephen King's CARRIE who has gone on to achieve acclaim for numerous starring roles in the UK ranging from JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT to CHICAGO as well as the original West End casts of THE SECRET GARDEN, MARY POPPINS, and, most recently, LONDON ROAD - Linzi Hateley. Shedding some light on her unforgettable West End and Broadway debut as well as bringing us all the way up to the present day commenting on her hotly anticipated return to New York later this month with her new cabaret show at 54 Below, titled SINCE CARRIE, Hateley grants a rare all access pass to her career onstage and onscreen. Besides all about SINCE CARRIE and CARRIE itself, Hateley also recounts her experiences participating in the original cast of a number of notable West End and UK productions, including THE SECRET GARDEN, MARY POPPINS and more. Also, Hateley shares first news of the forthcoming feature film adaptation of UK hit LONDON ROAD and how her stage role will be adapted to the big screen iteration. On the topic of screen roles, Hateley also offers the 411 on her participation in the smash hit cinematic version of international stage hit LES MISERABLES and voices her thoughts on the movie musical revolution in general. Besides all of that, Hateley reflects on her work in the Stephen Sondheim revue MOVING ON and offers opinions on some of her most cherished studio recordings. Theatre for a New Audience's THE KILLER, Starring Michael Shannon, Begins Tonight

Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road) plays Berenger in Eugene Ionesco's The Killer in a production that also features Kristine Nielsen, Paul Sparks and Robert Stanton. The Killer is newly translated by Michael Feingold and is directed by Darko Tresnjak (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder).

John Gordon Sinclair & James Lance Join JEEVES AND WOOSTER UK Tour

John Gordon Sinclair and James Lance will play iconic duo Jeeves and Wooster in the Olivier Award-winning hit Perfect Nonsense in the West End and on tour, replacing the current cast, Robert Webb and Mark Heap, from 30 June 2014. Co-writer Robert Goodale will take over from Mark Hadfield as Seppings.

BWW Review: All Hell Breaks Loose in CARRIE THE MUSICAL

All hell breaks loose in CARRIE THE MUSICAL at SpeakEasy Stage Company thanks to a match made in heaven between The Boston Conservatory's rising junior Elizabeth Erardi and local diva Kerry A. Dowling as the tormented teen and her fanatical mother. Directed by Paul Melone with Musical Direction by Nicholas James Connell and Choreography by Larry Sousa, the much talked-about musical will give you plenty to talk about.

TWELFTH NIGHT, THE WINTER'S TALE and More to Run at the Dell, June 7-August 31

During the summer month weekends, the Royal Shakespeare Company's outdoor theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, The Dell, will play host to a range of lively student, community and semi-professional productions. Performances kick off on Saturday 7 June, and continue until Sunday 31 August.

RSC's HENRY IV PART 1 Filmed for 'Live from Stratford-upon-Avon' Tonight

Tonight at the Royal Shakespeare Company's Stratford-upon-Avon home, the RSC's Henry IV Part I will be filmed for "Live from Stratford-upon-Avon," the RSC program that screens the world's greatest classical theatre company from Shakespeare's home town around the world through a continued partnership with Picturehouse Entertainment. It will be seen in US cinemas from June 3 - July 3, and will be seen in 315 UK cinemas live tonight, with further screenings there tomorrow.

GAME OF THRONES' Owen Teale to Lead Birmingham Repertory Theatre's UNDER MILK WOOD, 2-7 June

GAME OF THRONES actor Owen Teale will star in director Terry Hands' new production of UNDER MILK WOOD at Birmingham Repertory Theatre from June 2 to 7. The production marks the centenary of Dylan Thomas' birth, as well as the 60th anniversary since UNDER MILK WOOD was first produced in Britain, as a radio play by the BBC, in 1954. A cast of Welsh actors also includes TORCHWOOD actor Kai Owen and Steven Meo (THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS).

Spontaneity Shop Presents KINGMAKER, 30 July - 25 August

This summer the writers of previous Edinburgh Fringe hits Coalition and Making News and multi-award winning director of Instinct For Kindness and Lockerbie - Unfinished Business are set to team up with one of the most respected actors of his generation to present a satirical tale of political intrigue, gamesmanship and ambition in the corridors of power. Alan Cox is to be directed by Hannah Eidinow in Robert Khan and Tom Salinsky's Kingmaker, the story of a fictional yet strangely familiar political figure whose bumbling bonhomie disguises a fierce determination and a heart of steel.

A.R.T.'s THE TEMPEST, Helmed by Aaron Posner and Teller, Begins Tonight

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Diane Paulus, Artistic Director and William Russo, Managing Director; presents the last production of its 2013/14 Season, THE TEMPEST, adapted and directed by Aaron Posner and Teller from the play by William Shakespeare, with magic by Teller, music by Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan, and movement by Matt Kent of Pilobolus.

RSC & Creative Alliance Hosts CREATIVE JOURNEYS: MEET THE PROFESSIONALS Event Today

The Royal Shakespeare Company and Creative Alliance will run an event for over 300 students to find out more about careers in creative and cultural industries. The RSC and Creative Alliance are collaborating to provide young people with an opportunity to gain a realistic insight into careers in the creative and cultural sector at their 'Creative Journeys: Meet The Professionals' event, this time focusing on the Coventry and Warwickshire area. The event will be held at the RSC in Stratford upon Avon today 9th May.

Gina McKee Joins Martin Freeman In Cast Of RICHARD III

Gina McKee (Di & Viv & Rose, King Lear, Ivanov, Our Friends In The North, Notting Hill) will play Queen Elizabeth, alongside the previously announced Martin Freeman (Clybourne Park, The Hobbit, Sherlock, Fargo) as Richard III in Jamie Lloyd's first production of his second season at Trafalgar Transformed, Richard III, running from 1 July to 27 September, with press night on 8 July.
