Groups of passionate young theatre makers are gearing up to take over Curve and venues across Leicester city as part of National Student Drama Festival (NSDF).

The Big House today announces the return of Bullet Tongue Reloaded a promenade piece at the new home of The Big House in Islington. Written by Andrew Day and Sonya Hale, the production tackles the topic of County Lines and was developed with a young cast many of whom are directly affected by this issue. The production opens on 24 May, with previews from 22 May and runs until 15 June.

he JMK Trust, in partnership with Birmingham Repertory Theatre, today announce that Will Ashford receives the inaugural JMK Bob Carlton Bursary, which through the generous support of Bob's family, will fund a role as an Assistant Director at Birmingham Rep. This bursary has been established in Bob's name as an opportunity for a new director with a connection to the Midlands, where Bob hailed from.

The first production will be a revival of David Greig's visionary early play Europe, directed by Michael Longhurst in his first production as Artistic Director of the Donmar. Written 25 years ago, it is prophetic in its vision of Europe today - as a continent, a refuge, an idea. Cast includes Billy Howle (MotherFatherSon, On Chesil Beach), Kevork Malikyan (Exodus: Gods and Kings, The Cut), Faye Marsay (Game of Thrones, The Darkest Hour), Stephen Wight (The Paradise, Bluestone 42), and Shane Zaza (Happy Valley, Press).

The Bush has had non-stop success after success with their recent programming, however this show misses the mark by a lot. Roy Alexander Weise, whose career has also gone from strength to strength, directs Eve Leigh's confusing and dull text. Billed as a magic show, it is anything but spectacular.

Nine Night, Natasha Gordon's critically acclaimed play which transferred from the National Theatre to the Trafalgar Studios in December has been playing to capacity houses. Prior to closing on 23 February an extra matinee at 2.30pm on 20 February has been announced due to popular demand. Tickets for the additional performance are now on sale.

Fuel open Tron Theatre's main house season this Spring with The Dark (15 & 16 Feb), the harrowing and uplifting autobiographical story of poet Nick Makoha's migration with his mother at the age of four to escape a country divided by dictatorship and consumed by conflict.

Fuel's job is to identify those living artists and bring their urgent and brave work to life for people to experience. As we approach our 15th birthday, we reflect on what has changed in the world since 2004, where we find ourselves today, and what 2034 might hold for us all. Our 2019 season celebrates our common humanity: how we all connect to the earth and to each other.

Natasha Gordon's glorious writing debut, under Roy Alexander Weise's direction, transfers to the West End, managing to retain all of the magic it held whilst on the Dorfman stage. Following the story of how a family grieve, it's a play full of laughter, struggle and hope.

The Trustees of the JMK Trust today announce that from 2019 the JMK Award will enter a new partnership with the Orange Tree Theatre, with the winner's production forming a core part of the theatre's annual programming. At this new home, the JMK Award will offer one director the opportunity to direct a full-scale Orange Tree show with the production values and nurturing guidance the building is famous for. The JMK Award, which had previously been resident at the Young Vic for seven years, forms part of the national programme for the The JMK Trust, running alongside the Regional Directors Programme.

Natasha Gordon takes the role of Lorraine in her debut play, for which she has recently been awarded the Charles Wintour Award for 'Most Promising P' at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards. This transfer makes her the first black British female playwright to have a play staged in the West End.
