Ross Petty Productions is delighted to announce the world premiere of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, The Family Musical with a Scrooge Loose will be held over until January 5, 2018. On stage now at the Elgin Theatre, holiday hilarity will ensue for two additional performances on Thursday, January 4 at 7pm and Friday, January 5 at 2pm.

Opening January 3rd and running until January 14th, the 2018 Next Stage Theatre Festival will kick off the 30th year of the Toronto Fringe.

Ross Petty's annual holiday musical is a tradition for many Torontonians. With this year's production, A CHRISTMAS CAROL - The Family Musical with a SCROOGE LOOSE!, that tradition is sure to continue. Following the critically acclaimed success of its inaugural presentation of The Secret Garden in Concert, Podium Concert Productions will proudly present the Tony Award-winning musical Nine in Concert, at Trinity-St. Paul's Centre for the Arts on January 12 and 13, 2018. Starring Stratford Festival veteran Juan Chioran, this limited engagement concert also features a world-class orchestra of 23 musicians, hand-picked and led by Mark Camilleri, to accompany 15 of Canada's brightest stars of stage and musical theatre and an ensemble of rising stars from Etobicoke School of The Arts. Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full and final casting for the world premiere of Monsoon Wedding. The musical stage production will be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mira Nair and hosts a cast of 20 actors from around the globe.

Trading Kinky Boots' red heels for red braids, AJ Bridel is set for school again. The 22-year-old actress will become the 18th triple threat to play Anne Shirley at The Charlottetown Festival, joining an all new production led by Artistic Director Adam Brazier.

Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced today that Abby Mueller will play the title role in the Broadway company of Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, beginning March 7, 2017. Mueller, who originated the role in the first national tour of Beautiful, will be taking over for Broadway's current 'Carole,' Chilina Kennedy, while Kennedy heads to her hometown to headline the show at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theater from June 27 - August 20, 2017. Kennedy will be joined in the Toronto production by Liam Tobin, who originated the role of 'Gerry Goffin' on tour. Kennedy will return to the Broadway production following the Toronto run of Beautiful.
