Launched in partnership with Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pa., and Delaware Theatre Company in Wilmington, Del., MIDDLETOWN will premiere at these venues after a run at the Smith Center in Las Vegas starting March 31, 2019. “Bohemian Rhapsody” (edited by John Ottman, ACE) and “The Favourite” (edited by Yorgos Mavropsaridis, ACE) won Best Edited Feature Film (Dramatic) and Best Edited Feature Film (Comedy) respectively at the 69th Annual ACE Eddie Awards tonight where trophies were handed out recognizing the best editing of 2018 in 11 categories of film, television and documentaries.  The black-tie ceremony was held in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel with over 1000 in attendance to celebrate.  President of American Cinema Editors, Stephen Rivkin, ACE, presided over the evening's festivities with comedian Tom Kenny serving as the evening's host.

The winners of the Directors Guild of America Outstanding Directorial Achievement Awards for 2018 were announced tonight during the 71st Annual DGA Awards at the Hollywood & Highland Center's Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood. Alfonso Cuarón won the DGA's Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for Roma.

Oscar-winner Jeff Bridges, whose many distinguished performances have earned him seven Academy Award nominations, will be honored with the Board of Governors Award at the 33rd Annual ASC Awards for Outstanding Achievement on February 9 at Hollywood & Highland's Ray Dolby Ballroom. 

Veteran comedy screenwriting partners Lowell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel, known for such acclaimed box-office hits as Splash and Parenthood, have been named the recipients of the Writers Guild of America West's 2019 Laurel Award for Screenwriting Achievement, presented to Guild members who have “advanced the literature of motion pictures and made outstanding contributions to the profession of the screenwriter.”

CBS Films is in final talks to acquire North American rights to the Ron Howard- directed Pavarotti, according to Deadline. The feature documentary chronicles the life of the iconic tenor Luciano Pavarotti.
