The producers of the RENT 25th Anniversary Farewell Tour, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning landmark rock musical written by Jonathan Larson, have announced casting for the final year of the national tour, which kicks off in October.

This week, FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club & Private Event Destination, will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

Adam Pascal is a Broadway star who struggles with Broadway because he is, in his very soul a rock star. That dichotomy has always been the appeal of Pascal’s work. He walks in the Broadway world, but he’s not quite OF it. His show was a no-frills tour through his unexpected career. Just him, a guitar, his stories, and that voice. It is an entirely unique instrument. No one else sounds like him. His voice is as thrilling at 50 as it was when he played Roger Davis at 25.

When Matthew Shepard was brutally murdered in 1998, anyone could scarcely have known or even surmised the impact his life would have on people the world over and today, almost 23 years after the fact, his presence on this earth continues to be felt in ways both momentous and personal.

Broadway's back in New York City this fall, but fans of musical theatre at the Jersey Shore only have to wait another month. Algonquin Arts Theatre will be producing Broadway musicals 'Godspell' and 'Rent' this summer. Showtimes are Friday & Saturday nights at 8 pm, Saturday at 2 pm and Sundays at 3 pm.

The cast of RENT on Smule has worked for the last six months to film, direct and star in a virtual rendition of the Broadway musical, Rent. The full production will see its first audience on Thursday, December 24th at 9PM EST on RENT on Smule's official Facebook channel.
