Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Shares Solo Single 'Airavata'

Composed, produced, and arranged by Miguel, who plays electric guitar (reversed) and acoustic violin/viola, with Gabe Noel and Peter Jacobson joining on acoustic bass and cello respectively, “Airavata” (eye-raw-VAH-tah) is named after the white elephant who carries the deity Indra, also called ‘abhra-Matanga’, meaning “elephant of the clouds”.

YPT's 3-play sophomore season launches with the fabulously fun Junie B. Jones, the Musical (Oct 7-Nov 5). The New Year sees the Chicago Premiere of Wendy Kesselman's vital new one-act, TYA version of The Diary of Anne Frank (Feb 17-March 24). The season concludes with the dazzling hip-hop/soul adaptation of Matt de la Peña's Newberry Award-winning Last Stop on Market Street (May 11- June 2).

Review: TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD at John F. Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts

Seeing To Kill a Mockingbird, now at the Kennedy Center, isn’t the same experience as the novel you were quizzed on in high school or the classic 1962 film. Aaron Sorkin’s script and Bartlett Sher’s direction gain heightened context and nuance from the rise in racial violence in the last decade. The national tour with Richard Thomas as Atticus Finch, which visited D.C. in June 2022, is again at the Kennedy Center though August 27.

Broadway Across America Now Accepting Applications For BTC • BAA Fellowship
