New Dramatists, Tony Honor recipient and the nation's premier playwright development laboratory, honored three-time Tony Award winner, Nathan Lane, with its 2019 Distinguished Achievement Award at its 70th Annual Spring Luncheon Tribute on Tuesday, May 14th at the New York Marriott Marquis.

The spring shows are directed by Ellie Heyman. Vernon received the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical, three Drama Desk Award nominations, a Jonathan Larson Grant and the Richard Rodgers Award for his musicals The View UpStairs and KPOP, both of which had critically-acclaimed extended Off-Broadway runs in 2017. KPOP is planning a major new production later this year, and The View UpStairs will have its UK premiere in London this summer. Following a sold-out debut at the Kennedy Center in 2017, Vernon has returned to the New York nightclub stage for an exclusive engagement of high spectacle, high fashion, and high belted F sharps.

Ben Rimalower will return to Los Angeles with his acclaimed long-running solo plays, PATTI ISSUES (about his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father) and BAD WITH MONEY (about how an addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life). Los Angeles performances will be Casita Del Campo's Cavern Club Celebrity Theater (1920 Hyperion Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90027) on Tuesday, March 26. Tickets are available separately and for the combined evening of both shows.

Ben Rimalower will celebrate the recent release of his plays PATTI ISSUES and BAD WITH MONEY by Roven Records on Audible.com with a special performance BAD WITH MONEY at The Green Room 42 on Saturday, August 18 and a double bill of PATTI ISSUES and BAD WITH MONEY at Penguin Rep on Sunday, August 19. In Patti Issues, Rimalower explores the ways his lifelong obsession (and eventual working friendship) with Patti LuPone helped him navigate a tumultuous relationship with his volatile father. Since premiering in 2012, Patti Issues has garnered a tremendous amount of great press and word-of-mouth from attendees such as Tony Kushner, Alan Cumming, Laurie Metcalf and Ms. LuPone herself, who said, "The show's fantastic.
