Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) just announced it will hold its 2016 Combined Audition Event on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 10:00am-6pm for musical auditions, and Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 10am-6pm for drama auditions. The event will take place at the DeSotelle Theater, 300 W. 43rd Street, #301, NYC.

Final casting has been set for the 2015 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity's Playwrights For A Cause, set to take place at 7:30pm on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at New York Theatre Workshop, 79 East 4th Street, on Sunday, June 14 at 7:30 pm. The evening, which will benefit the non-profit National Coalition Against Censorship, will showcase world premiere one-act plays by three acclaimed playwrights: Israel Horovitz's Breaking Phillip Glass and Erik Ehn's Her Speech, both directed by Planet Connections Theatre Festivity founder and PFAC Producing Artistic Curator Glory Kadigan, and Halley Feiffer's A Play About New Mexico, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch.

Major casting has have been announced for the 2015 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity's Playwrights For A Cause, set to take place at 7:30pm on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Sheen Center, located at 18 Bleecker Street. Singing Auditions will be today from 10:30am to 6pm (you will be required to perform a monologue, too). Non-singing auditions will be today from 10:00am to 11am and on Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

Studio Six of the Moscow Art Theater presents Woman at the Funerals, a new play about human malfunction and a budding funeral planner written by Elena Balyberdina. Ben Sargent will direct a cast of twelve including Stewart Alden, Cameron Berner, John Blaylock, Tonya Marie Canady, David M. Farrington, Doug Hartwyk, Sarah Michelle McAvoy, Pete Macnamara, Samantha Opitz, Benjamin Russell, Najla Said, and RaShelle Stocker. Woman at the Funerals will be staged for 16 performances at IATI Theater, 64 East 4th Street in NYC from June 13-29, 2014.

Robin Carus, Josh Walden and Adam Fitzgerald have announced the upcoming reading of Jason Huza's WRAPPED IN PINK (story by Josh Walden, Written by Jason Huza). The reading will be presented on Monday, May 26th at Pearl Studios (500 8th Avenue, 12th floor) in studio 1209 at 6:00 PM.
