Full casting for Bill Kenwright's highly anticipated new production of Saturday Night Fever has been announced. Joining acclaimed dancer and actor Richard Winsor as Tony Manero, in his first leading role in a major musical, is: Kate Parr (Follies) in the role of Stephanie, Owen Broughton (Gus), Michael Cortez (Joey), Raphael Pace (Bobbie C) and Jared Thompson (Double Jay).

Richard Winsor, highly acclaimed for his dance, stage and screen work, is set to play Tony Manero, the role which famously rocketed John Travolta to screen stardom, in a new stage production of Saturday Night Fever.

With the immortal songs of the BeeGees, mesmerizing disco dancing, and a cast of unforgettable characters, the musical version of Saturday Night Fever offers an inherently compelling theatrical experience. Maine State Music Theatre's new production does all that and more: it brings freshness, originality, and strong dramatic narrative to the work, all the while that it envelops the audience in its pulse and passion. This production is white-hot, warm, funny, and genuine.

Broadway by the Bay struts their way into August with the disco dancing, finger pointing, hip-swerving hit Broadway musical, Saturday Night Fever. Based on the 1976 New York Magazine article "Tribal Rights of the New Saturday Night" and one of the most popular movie musicals of all time, this all new stage production will feature over a dozen classic songs by the Grammy Award-winning group the Bee-Gees, dazzling choreography, and the iconic fashion looks of the 70s disco era.

The Theatre Group at SBCC will start the season July 11-28, 2018 in the Garvin Theatre with the musical, GREASE.  Book, lyrics and music by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey.

For the second production in their 47th annual season of professional summer theatre, Cortland Repertory Theatre invites audiences to dust off those leisure suits and platform shoes for the musical stage version of the iconic 1970's Paramount/SRO film Saturday Night Fever. Based on a story by Nik Cohn, the movie was adapted for the stage by Robert Stigwood in collaboration with Bill Oaks, with the North American version written by Sean Cercone and David Abbinati.  The production features the Grammy Award winning songs by the Bee Gees.

Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera that tells the story of the final week in the life of Jesus Christ. It begins with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ends with the crucifixion. It also highlights the political and interpersonal struggles between Jesus and one of his 12 apostles, Judas Iscariot that are not present in the Bible narratives.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's long-awaited autobiography, Unmasked, was just released earlier this week by HarperCollins, coinciding with the legendary composer's 70th birthday.  A natural storyteller, with his signature humor and self-deprecating tone, Lloyd Webber shares the details of his early personal and professional years, including his early artistic influences. Broadway By the Bay, the Peninsula based award-winning musical theater company, announced today the four musicals that will make up their 2018 season. Launching the season in March 2018 will be the 1957 musical theater classic, The Music Man. Summer will kick off like a great ball of fire with the hit rock-n-roll musical Million Dollar Quartet, followed by the 70s disco-era hit Saturday Night Fever. The season will come to a close with Elton John and Tim Rice's Tony Award-winning adaptation of Verdi's AIDA. Cortland Repertory Theatre, one of New York State's longest running professional summer theatres, has announced their 47th annual season for the summer of 2018. Once again this year, all six mainstage shows are making their CRT debuts, with at least one making its regional debut.

Stage Door Theatre presents the musical Saturday Night Fever featuring music and lyrics by the Bee Gees, and a book by Nan Knighton (in collaboration with Arlene Phillips, Paul Nicholas, and Robert Stigwood). The musical is based on both Nik Cohn's 1975 New York Magazine article 'Tribal Rites of the New Saturday Night', and the block-buster film that rocketed John Travolta to fame it inspired in 1977, Saturday Night Fever.

While disco may be dead, its spirit is alive and well at the Noel S. Ruiz Theatre at CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale through August 19.

Closing out their wonderful 47th Season, Theatre Three offers a first-rate showing of the musical Saturday Night Fever. Based on the iconic 1977 movie and a story by Nik Cohn, this entertaining production, featuring songs by the Bee Gees, runs through June 24th at the charming Port Jefferson venue. This officially opened a few weeks ago and judging by the enthusiastic and still-packed house, you will certainly need to get your tickets quickly.
