The Disney/ABC Television Group received 50 nominations for the 40st Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards announced today live on ABC News' 'Good Morning America.' 'General Hospital' was honored with 19 nominations, including a nod for Outstanding Drama Series. 'The View' received its 14th nomination for Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment. ABC News' 'Good Morning America' received its seventh consecutive nomination for Outstanding Morning Program. 'Good Morning America' has won the award in three out of six years since the category was created. 'Good Afternoon America,' the one hour extension of 'Good Morning America,' was nominated for Outstanding Original Song for 'Good Afternoon,' written and performed by Little Big Town.

Guests who appeared with Mr. Hamlisch included Lucie Arnaz, Kelly Bishop, Liz Callaway, Victor Garber, Lesley Gore, Robert Klein, Priscilla Lopez, Robert LuPone, Donna McKechnie, Donna Murphy, Jack Noseworthy, Donald Pippin, Billy Stritch, Sammy Williams and more. Ron Abel served as the evening's Musical Director. The evening was directed by Ms. Cross & Mr. Kreppel.
