November 22 marks 50 years since the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, and Warner Bros. is commemorating this tragic chapter in U.S. history with a theatrical re-release of Oliver Stone's controversial film JFK which will accompany today's debut of the new Blu-ray collection

A special JFK showing tonight at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood will feature a Q & A with Stone. The film will complete its Hollywood run through the 14th at the Arclight Hollywood as well as at the AMC Empire in Manhattan and the AMC Georgetown in D.C. On Sunday, November 17, and then again on November 20, JFK will be shown in more than 250 Cinemark, Regal, and AMC theaters throughout the country. Other limited runs will continue in select cities through December 8.

JFK 50 Year Commemorative Ultimate Collector's Edition debuts today. It includes JFK: To the Brink Chapter 6 of Stone's Showtime series The Untold Story of the United States. Stone himself explains, "the chapter isn't exactly about the assassination, but 'the big picture,' why Kennedy may have been killed and the following events."

Also included is the new JFK Remembered: 50 Years Later from filmmaker Robert Kline; and George Stevens acclaimed John F. Kennedy: Years of Lightning, Day of Drums.

Stone directed from a screenplay he wrote with Zachary Sklar. The all-star cast includes Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Bacon, Gary Oldman, Sissy Spacek, Jack Lemmon, Joe Pesci, Donald Sutherland, Laurie Metcalf, John Candy, Walter Matthau, Sally Kirkland, and Edward Asner.
