The Cabaret Convention's three multi-performer shows are done for this year. Concluding our recaps, here's the word on what we heard during the third night: EVERYTHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN, presented on October 24th. So many songs, so many singers, jammed into three nights, is the cornucopia of the Cabaret Convention concerts.

Review: Tanya Moberly's STANDARDS Is a Purist's Dream at Don't Tell Mama

Moberly is a fine actress who gives us over 20 interesting characters while simply presenting the songs without a lot of folderol. She is working in the tradition of some of the great musical monologists like Charles Aznavour, Liza Minelli, Bernadette Peters, and Julie Wilson.

Review: Amanda McBroom Brings Christmas to September in WINTERSONG at Birdland

Last week, Amanda McBroom unveiled highlights from her forthcoming album WINTERSONG at Birdland, a collection of mostly new songs on a holiday theme. Review: To Steve With Love: Liz Callaway Celebrates Sondheim at Kennedy Center

Liz Callaway embodies and breathes the essence of Stephen Sondheim. In the very personal and professional tribute concert To Steve With Love: Liz Callaway Celebrates Sondheim, there is an utter fusion of the performer’s love and respect for her musical mentor and the choice and intimate presentation of the Sondheim songs that Ms. Callaway interprets.
