???????Singer, songwriter and guitarist Boz Scaggs will perform at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 8PM. His explorations in Blues and R&B, Rock and Jazz have produced lasting work and a career that has brought with it acclaim, a loyal following, and an enduring respect among musicians. Joining Scaggs on stage is the critically-acclaimed Robert Cray Band. Robert Cray has created a sound that rises from American roots and arrives today both fresh and familiar. In just over forty years Cray and his band have recorded 20 studio releases, fifteen of which have been on the Billboard charts. In 2011 Cray was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.

Rita Coolidge's credentials are the stuff of legend. After earning a degree in art at Florida State University, the Tennessee native decided to give music a shot before settling into a career as an art teacher. She moved to Memphis and was soon singing jingles, demos and background vocals for a number of area bands. Among them was a husband and wife duo, Delaney & Bonnie. When the pair signed their record deal, Rita suddenly found herself on big-time pop music's leading edge. Her reputation as an A-list backup singer spread quickly. Joe Cocker enlisted her in that role and as a featured soloist on his Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour. (Rita performed a song she'd co-written, ?Superstar,? which would later be a huge hit for The Carpenters.) Work with other rock royalty followed, including tours and recordings with Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Leon Russell and Stephen Stills. In 1971, A&M Records moguls Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss signed her to the label, and one of the most enduring solo careers in all of music was underway.

The talent lineup for the 20th Anniversary of the Todd Schroeder Young Artist Grant Benefit Concert, scheduled to take place in Sonora, California, on April 18th, has been announced today. Headlining the show will be Sam Harris, direct from his Off-Broadway hit run of 'Ham: A Musical Memoir,' directed by Billy Porter ('Kinky Boots') and produced by Susan Dietz. Other performers will include Mark D. Espinoza, best known for his role as 'Jesse' on the hit 90s TV series 'Beverly Hills, 90210'; multi-platinum selling songwriter Kevin Fisher; Robyn Spangler, BroadwayWorld's 2011 Cabaret Artist of the Year, and many more. Light and sound design will once again be created by Broadway veteran technical director Matt Berman.
