Producers have announced that Mark Stuart Dance Theatre's critically acclaimed new dance musical, Standard Time, will extend its limited engagement at The Duke on 42nd Street (229 W 42nd Street) in NYC two additional weeks, now through Sunday, December 20, 2015. The new dance musical, which Dance Magazine called "Spectacular," features direction and choreography by award-winning choreographer Mark Stuart (Women on the Verge..., The Bandstand). The 3rd annual R.Evolucion Latina - Dance-A-Thon raised $26,250 after 6 weeks of fundraising. The culmination of the online fundraising campaign took place on October 24th where artists, RL campers and supporters came together to celebrate for 5 hours of energized dancing. This month, Dallas Theater Center will produce the world premiere of the brand new musical Stagger Lee, book and lyrics by Meadows Prize recipient Will Power. Stagger Lee, which takes its title from the century-old folk song, is directed by Patricia McGregor with music by Will Power and Justin Ellington. Stagger Lee was partially developed in workshops in collaboration with the Meadows School of the Arts, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas as a part of Will Powers' Meadows Prize residency. Stagger Lee begins previews tonight, January 21 with a Pay-What-You-Can performance and runs through Sunday, February 15.
