Performers from the casts of Phantom, Lion King, Jersey Boys, Ka!, and other shows on the LV Strip will be performing in 'THE PARENTING PROJECT - A New Musical in Concert', written by Richard Oberacker & Robert Taylor, on Saturday & Sunday, February 19 & 20, 2011 at 1PM, at the Clark County Flamingo Library Theater (1401 E Flamingo Road, just east of Maryland Parkway).

The Theatre and Interpretation Center (TIC) at Northwestern University, will launch the 2009-10 season this fall with a star-studded classic comedy, the first of several musical readings that will be offered as part of the American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) OutLOUD Reading series, and a Performance Studies Performance Hour.

To begin the 2009-10 Mainstage Season in October, the Theatre and Interpretation Center (TIC) at Northwestern University welcomes Tony Award-winning director Frank Galati with his production of the classic farce-comedy ?Arsenic and Old Lace,? featuring guest artists Dennis Zacek and John Mohrlein and award-winning Northwestern acting faculty Cindy Gold and Mary Poole as the sinister, but hilarious sisters.

Eric Schaeffer, Artistic Director of the Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre, today announced that Signature Theatre is expanding its American Musical Voices Project (AMVP) for a fourth year with the commission and production of a new musical by Adam Guettel for its 2011-2012 season. Also announced as part of The Next Generation segment of the AMVP were two additional musical commissions awarded to Peter Foley and Marisa Michelson as well as honoree grants given to Chris Miller and Scott Davenport Richards for the development of future musical ideas. Signature, with the support of The Shen Family Foundation, has awarded $595,000 to artists in honors and commissions in the past three years. The American Musical Voices Project is the largest single musical theater commissioning and producing initiative at any non-profit theater in America.

Submission Deadlines: (postmark) February 5, 2009 - Non-NAMT Member Professional Theatre Organizations and Literary Agencies (include the $60 registration fee) February 19, 2009 - NAMT Members and Alumni Festival Writers (no registration fee required) Any writer may apply, as long as the submission includes a letter of support from a NAMT member or any other professional theatre organization or an agent. If selected for the festival, the musical's writer and submitting organization have no financial obligation to NAMT, as NAMT fully funds the festival through contributions and sponsorships. A fifteen-piece live orchestra and more than twenty performers from the Las Vegas Strip will donate their time and talent to bring 'Dracula - A New Musical' to the stage at the College of Southern Nevada's Nicholas J. Horn Theatre on Oct. 18 and 19 at 2 p.m. each day.
