Disney Theatrical Productions in association with Michael Cassel Group announces the first international tour of the world's #1 musical, Disney's The Lion King, to premiere in Manila in March 2018 with additional engagements in Singapore, Korea, Taiwan and South Africa.

Casting has been announced for the St. Louis engagement of Disney's The Lion King. St. Louis' most eagerly awaited stage production ever will leap onto the Fabulous Fox Theatre stage from April 19 to May 7. The press opening night isThursday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m.

The touring production of THE LION KING now playing at the Providence Performing Arts Center is absolutely exceptional. One would be hard-pressed to find a finer or stronger assembly of actors, singers, and dancers than this remarkable company.

Disney's The Lion King continues to reign across North America with a sold-out engagement in Detroit, which concluded on Sunday, February 26 at The Detroit Opera House.  The triumphant four-week return grossed over $6.8 million at the box office and entertained more than 84,000 theatergoers during 32 performances.

Providence's most eagerly awaited return will once again leap onto the PPAC stage for a limited engagement of 3 weeks from Today, February 28, 2017 at 7P through Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 1P. The opening night is on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 7:30P.

Disney's The Lion King once again set the record for the highest-grossing engagement in New Orleans theatrical history with a gross of $7.5 million.

Broadway's award-winning best musical, The Lion King, welcomes Stephen Carlile as Scar beginning performances tonight, Tuesday, January 31st, 2017. Carlile makes his Broadway debut, having originated the role of Scar on the UK tour of The Lion King.

World premieres, new writers and ground-breaking adaptations have been announced for 2017 at the National Theatre.

Casting for American Ballet Theatre's The Nutcracker, co-presented by Segerstrom Center for the Arts and ABT, was announced today by Kevin McKenzie, ABT Artistic Director and Terry Dwyer, Segerstrom Center President. Choreographed by ABT Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky, The Nutcracker will be given 12 performances at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, December 9-18, 2016. The Nutcracker, set to music by Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky, features choreography by Alexei Ratmansky, scenery and costumes by award-winning designer Richard Hudson and lighting by Jennifer Tipton. The Pacific Symphony performs the beloved holiday score. In the Los Angeles Times review from last year's inaugural Center performance, it declared, "Choreographer Alexei Ratmansky has made his own Christmas miracle: a joyful 'Nutcracker' ballet that is ravishing and clever enough to inspire multiple viewings."

Disney Theatrical Productions and the New Orleans Theatre Association announced today tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's THE LION KING will go on sale to the public Friday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. The show will leap onto the Saenger Theatre stage for the first time Wednesday, Jan. 4, for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, Jan. 29. THE LION KING is a subscription option of the East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans 2016 - 2017 season.
