Ghost, the new musical starring Caissie Levy and Richard Fleeshman as Molly Jensen and Sam Wheat will open on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. In advance of the Broadway transfer of Ghost The Musical, Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy handed over the leading roles of Sam Wheat and Molly Jensen as they are headed for Broadway. Mark Evans (Welsh TV star and last on stage in the West End as Fiyero in Wicked) and Siobhan Dillon (finalist in Andrew Lloyd Webber's first reality TV show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? and most recently on stage in the West End in Legally Blonde The Musical) will take on the West End roles on Friday January 13th. They were joined at London's Picadilly Theatre today by Sharon D. Clarke and Andrew Langtree (West End) and Da'Vine Joy Randolph and Bryce Pinkham (Broadway) who play Oda Mae Brown and Carl Bruner. On Thursday, January 19th, Ghost the Musical will host The Ghost Light Sessions Live, a special sneak peek presentation at the historic Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. We will snuff out the ghost light, which is traditionally left on stage when the theatre is empty to ward off the ghosts of past productions, and welcome this extraordinary new musical to Broadway.

My 2011 theatrical exploits, while not as numerous as I'd like, have been enjoyable on the whole and happily have involved the West End, the London and Edinburgh Fringes and Broadway. After yesterday's announcements of the 2011 BWW:UK Award winners, there are celebrations across theatreland!

The 2011 awards, featuring several highly competitive categories shattered the site's previous records, with tens of thousands of West End fans, aficionados and professionals having their say about the very best of theatre on the West End and beyond...including a nail-biting, game-changing nearly 5,000 votes on the last day alone.

The producers of Ghost The Musical announced today that Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy will reprise their starring roles as Sam and Molly, which they originated in London's hit West End production, when it premieres this Spring at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street). They will be joined by Bryce Pinkham as Carl Bruner and newcomer Da'Vine Joy Randolph as Oda Mae Brown. Preview performances will begin on Thursday, March 15, 2012. Opening night is confirmed for Monday, April 23, 2012.

The stars of musical theatre are battling it out in their categories - Michael Crawford (The Wizard of Oz) and Shayne Ward (Rock of Ages) are neck and neck for Best Featured Actor; just two per cent separates Oliver Tompsett (Rock of Ages) and Richard Fleeshman (Ghost) for Best Leading Actor; Hannah Waddingham (The Wizard of Oz) and Jodie Jacobs (Rock of Ages) are tied as they push Sharon D Clarke (Ghost) for Best Featured Actress; and just three per cent separates Danielle Hope (The Wizard of Oz), Caissie Levy (Ghost) and Sarah Lancashire (Betty Blue Eyes) for Best Leading Actress!

The Ambassador Theatre Group's Joint CEO & Creative Director, Howard Panter and Joint CEO, Rosemary Squire, were joined by Richard Fleeshman and Sharon D Clarke (Sam and Oda Mae Brown from Ghost the Musical) at London's Piccadilly Theatre last night (8 November) to officially launch the brand new ATG Theatre Card - the UK's biggest theatre membership scheme.

We're into November, which means we're into the last month of voting for the 2011 BWW:UK Awards! Rock of Ages is making a late surge in the musicals categories, with Shayne Ward currently leading Michael Crawford of The Wizard of Oz for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.

Ghost The Musical made its highly anticipated West End debut on July 19, at the Piccadilly Theatre, after begining performances on June 24, 2011 and will open on Broadway on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater. Click below for the newly released trailer for the show!

Betty Blue Eyes made an excellent start to voting in the 2011 BWW:UK Awards, but fellow new musical Ghost is catching up.
