Amas Musical Theatre in celebration of its 50th season, will present Stealing Freedom: The True, Heroic Life of The Extraordinary Captain Smalls, (formerly "Charleston Harbor") with book, music & lyrics by Scott Sublett, the third of four new musicals in development included in this year's "Dare to Be Different" series. To celebrate this landmark, the show harnessed the power of community to benefit Point Foundation, the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer students of merit. For the 100th performance, The View UpStairs will donated 30% of proceeds from all full-priced ticket sales to Point Foundation.
