According to the New York Times, Gerard Alessandrini's musical parody Spamilton will close Off Broadway on January 7, 2018.

ASCAP Award-winning playwright/producer Chip Deffaa's latest album, 'Irving Berlin: Ragtime Rarities,' is out now. The CD, featuring an all-star New York cast performing two dozen rare--and, in many cases, never-before-recorded--ragtime numbers, is the 24th CD that Deffaa has produced and the tenth dealing with master songwriter Irving Berlin.

Last night, Tuesday, November 14, the cast and crew of the hit off-Broadway show Spamilton celebrated an impressive 500 performances since opening in July of 2016. The critically acclaimed show performs eight times a week, and is currently running at the 47th Street Theater / Puerto Rican Traveling Theater. Scroll down for photos from the festivities!

The new theater on 47th Street, which is just a block from its inspiration and main punchline, will host the show for an open engagement. Following a run of nine months packing audiences in at The Triad on W. 72nd St., Spamilton, the comedic musical take on all things Hamilton and Broadway, announced its move to 47th Street Theatre/The Puerto Rican Traveling Theater with performances beginning June 2nd, 2017. The show's move to Off Broadway puts it just a stone's throw from the theater housing its inspiration and main punchline. The show is set for an open engagement.
