There are undoubtedly other productions worthy of merit in 2016 which I did not cover. This list is based only on what I saw and reviewed.

The stars were shining in Hollywood for the 2016 Looking Ahead Awards on Tuesday night at the beautiful Taglyan Complex, where over 300 guests enjoyed exciting "blue carpet" arrivals, fabulous cocktail hour, fun photo booth, delicious gourmet dinner and a meaningful celebrity-studded awards ceremony. The event raised over $50,000 in support of The Actors Fund's Looking Ahead program.
Broadway actress/singer RENEE MARINO made her feature film debut in 2014 in Jersey Boys as Mary Delgado, Frankie Valli's tempestuous wife. She was seen in the role on Broadway by film director Clint Eastwood, and because of her magnanimous talent, was hand picked by him to repeat the role on film. New York born and bred, fiery Italian Marino performed her first cabaret show at Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal on Monday November 7 to a packed house. Called I Am Me Because of Three, the smart and slick show examined her roots and the three relatives that gave her the drive and spirit that pervade her persona.
Corky Hale presents I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU - The Life and Lyrics of Al Dubin, which opened May 13 at the Montalban Theatre, 1615 Vine St. in Hollywood. This new musical features lyrics by Al Dubin, music mostly by Harry Warren, book by Jerry Leichtling and Arlene Sarner, and musical direction by Gerald Sternbach. At The Actors Fund's 19 Annual Tony Awards Viewing Party on Sunday night, Aileen Quinn reunited with her 1982 ANNIE co-star Tim Curry, who received The Actors Fund's Artistic Achievement Award.
