Ravinia Festival is Set to Return in July 2021

The Ravinia Festival plans to reopen in July for the 2021 summer season, presenting its signature mix of genres: classical, popular, and chamber music. The decision to go on as planned has been supported by guidance from state and local health officials as well as consultation with Northwestern Medicine.

Juilliard to Hold Its 116th Commencement Ceremony in June

The Juilliard School today announced that its 116th commencement ceremony will be held in person on Friday, June 18, 2021, at 11am, outdoors on the Lincoln Center campus for a limited audience. The ceremony will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.

Cellist Oliver Herbert Receives Avery Fisher Career Grant

The 2021 Career Grants continue a long-standing philanthropic tradition started by the late Avery Fisher as part of a major gift to Lincoln Center in 1974. The Orchestra Now Releases New CD 'Piano Protagonists'

The Orchestra Now (TŌN) has announced the March 19 release of Piano Protagonists: Music for Piano and Orchestra, a new CD on Bridge Records. The new recording features three works for piano and orchestra first performed in concerts at the Bard Music Festival with the “powerful technique and exceptional insight” (The Washington Post) of award-winning American pianist Orion Weiss.

Violinist Yevgeny Kutik Announces FINDING HOME: MUSIC FROM THE SUITCASE in Concert

On Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 7pm ET, Russian-American violinist Yevgeny Kutik, will launch Finding Home: Music from the Suitcase in Concert, a five-episode docu-recital series filmed at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, MA, based on Kutik’s 2014 album Music from the Suitcase (Marquis Classics).

Stephen R. Smoot, who produced hundreds of concerts for Ravinia Festival since 2005, died suddenly on Friday, Nov. 27.
