The Monmouth Community Players (MCP) are excited to announce the cast of their upcoming spring musical, "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee." Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn, this spelling bee is sure to be one unforgettable experience. The production team for "Spelling Bee" includes director Josie French, musical director Steve Barter, assistant director Tim MacLeod and producer Cindy Dunham.
Student-Led Production Of ...SPELLING BEE Comes to The AVO Playhouse

While Moonlight Youth Theatre's (MYT) upcoming production of the musical comedy 'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee' features young talent on stage, behind the scenes, students are also involved backstage in all facets of bringing the show to life. As part of MYT's Theatre Internship program, the reigns of the creative direction of the show are being turned over to students in the program. The show's director, choreographer, design and stage management teams, and all other staff positions are comprised of students. Audiences will get the chance to see the results of the students' work when the show runs for one weekend only at Vista's AVO Playhouse March 23 - 25.

You'll want to bee at Loudoun Valley High School for their upcoming musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, running February 15-18. This year, Viking Theatre is focusing on giving back to the community. Following a successful fundraiser for the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship in conjunction with their fall one acts, The Last Tree and The Water Engine, Viking Theatre is now fighting illiteracy in Loudoun County by partnering with the Loudoun Literacy Council.

Directed by Company of Fools' Interim Artistic Director Ilana Becker with music direction by R.L. Rowsey and Grant Carey, this magical New Year's themed concert-theatre hybrid will run Dec. 14-30, 2017, at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey, followed by a special New Year's Eve fundraiser performance and celebration on Dec. 31.
