THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE Opens Tonight At The Ritz Theatre Co.

The Ritz Theatre Company presents The 25 Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee beginning this week!

During the run the company will also be exhibiting the work of artist Lawrence Jacobson in The Ritz Gallery.

This week the company also welcomes Denise Buzz to The Ritz Theatre Board of Directors. Denise has a great history with The Ritz, and brings a wealth of talents and skills.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss. The show centers on a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School. Six quirky adolescents compete in the Bee, run by three equally quirky grown-ups.
