Casting has been announced for Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA for its highly anticipated return to St. Louis at the Fabulous Fox Theatre May 9-20. With newly reinvented staging and stunning scenic design, this new version of PHANTOM is performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this one of the largest productions on tour in North America.

Seldom is there a musical where the question asked is not have whether you seen it, but rather how many times have you seen it. Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1988 blockbuster THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is such a musical. Repeated viewings are commonplace in Western New York, with many having seen the original Toronto or New York production in addition to many of it's national tours.

Casting has been announced for Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA for the premiere South Bend engagement at the Morris Performing Arts Center. 

Based on Gaston Leroux's 1910 horror novel of the same name, The Phantom of the Opera follows a deformed composer who haunts the grand Paris Opera House. Sheltered from the outside world in an underground cavern, the lonely, romantic man tutors and composes operas for Christine Daae, a gorgeous young soprano star-to-be. As Christine's star rises, and a handsome suitor from her past enters the picture, the Phantom grows mad, terrorizing the opera house owners and company with his murderous ways. Still, Christine finds herself drawn to the mystery man.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic musical about the ghostly guest who resides in Box 5 of the Paris Opera House, makes its return to Columbus after a nearly four year absence and it spends a two sets at the Ohio Theatre (39 E. State Street in downtown Columbus).

Beginning December 19 at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, MN, Quentin Oliver Lee will portray the man behind the mask, 'The Phantom.' He joins current cast members Eva Tavares as 'Christine Daa ,' Jordan Craig as 'Raoul,' Trista Moldovan as 'Carlotta Giudicelli,' David Benoit as 'Monsieur Firmin,' Edward Staudenmayer as 'Monsieur Andr ,' Kristie Dale Sanders as 'Madame Giry,' Phumzile Sojola as 'Ubaldo Piangi' and Emily Ramirez as 'Meg Giry.'

Last night, Manhattan Theatre Club (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director and Barry Grove, Executive Producer) presented its 2017 Fall Benefit, honoring 21-time Tony Award winner Harold Prince, at 583 Park Avenue (63rd Street and Park Avenue). Encores! Artistic Director Jack Viertel today announced casting for the Encores! production of The Golden Apple, John Latouche and Jerome Moross' cult classic.

The National Tour of THE GERSHWINS' PORGY AND BESS, winner of the 2012 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, ends on a high note grossing $1,030,014 for the week closing July 20, 2014, making it the highest-grossing week on the tour. More than 15,000 people attended the show in Charlotte.

On May 12th company members from the national tour of The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess presented Inspired By Love: The Music of Brett Macias Upstairs at Vitellos, benefiting Artists Striving to End Poverty (ASTEP). Inspired By Love featured selections from composer Brett Macias's musicals Gumbo, Beautiful Dreamer, and Beneath the Surface as well as a world premiere song cycle based on the love sonnets of Pablo Neruda.
