The award-winning Titan Theatre Company is currently in rehearsal for its upcoming production of the Charles Dickens classic A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and BroadwayWorld has a behind-the-scenes exclusive!

The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced that Elliot Harper will play Miss Trunchbull in Matilda The Musical's UK and Ireland Tour from Tuesday 15 January at Theatre Royal Plymouth. The tour will then play at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford (19 February - 23 March 2019), Edinburgh Playhouse (2 - 27 April 2019), The Bristol Hippodrome (7 May - 8 June 2019), Mayflower Theatre, Southampton (11 June - 6 July 2019) and Norwich Theatre Royal (16 July - 17 August 2019). The West End production will continue to play at the Cambridge Theatre, where it is now in its eighth year and is booking until 24 May 2020.

MEDICINE THE MUSICAL, a new musical written by Michael Ehrenreich and directed by Joey Murray, will be making its world premiere in a limited engagement run on Today, November 3rd thru Sunday, November 18th at HERE Arts Center (145 Sixth Ave), in the Mainstage Theater. Bird College - Conservatoire for Dance, Music and Theatre Performance today announces the appointment of Gavin Lee as patron. Calpulli Mexican Dance Company brings its acclaimed production Boda Mexicana (Mexican Wedding) to audiences at the Hostos Center for the Arts and Culture. This will be the Company's first season presented in the Bronx coinciding with its 15th anniversary. Boda Mexicana tells the story of the union of two people through Mexican songs, dances, customs, rituals and ceremonies. Two lovers travel through time to Mexican towns where we experience the customs of courtship, engagement, the ceremony, and the feast that follows. But will a curse set long before their time alter their destiny? Under Artistic Director, Alberto Lopez Herrera and Music Director, George Saenz, the company of 20 dancers, guest performers, and core of musicians take audiences on a voyage through regional and ethnic traditions guided by Calpulli's unique artistic interpretation.

The world premiere of Martin McDonagh's A Very Very Very Dark Matter at the Bridge Theatre is directed by Matthew Dunster. The cast comprises Johnetta Eula'Mae Ackles, Alistair Benson, Elizabeth Berrington, Paul Bradley, Noah Brignull, Jim Broadbent, Phil Daniels, Regan Garcia, Leo Hart, Graeme Hawley, Audrey Hayhurst, Kundai Kanyama, Lee Knight, Jamie McKie, Ryan Pope, James Roberts, Alice Selwyn, Austin Taylor, Amelia Walter and Annabelle Westenholz-Smith including nine children who will alternate a variety of roles. The 12-week run will conclude on 6 January 2019.
