Seldom is there a musical where the question asked is not have whether you seen it, but rather how many times have you seen it. Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1988 blockbuster THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is such a musical. Repeated viewings are commonplace in Western New York, with many having seen the original Toronto or New York production in addition to many of it's national tours.

Hip To Hip Theatre Co Presents HENRY IV, Part 2 Staged Reading This Weekend

Kicking off the season will be Hip to Hip's first indoor offering: a free staged reading of Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part 2, finishing what Hip to Hip started with last season's triumphant production of Henry IV, Part 1. Shakespeare's action-packed and hilarious cavalcade of noble warriors, scheming rebels, and brawling tavern scoundrels, led by the iconic Sir John Falstaff, will be staged on April 28th at 2 pm at The Queens Museum; and April 29th at 7 pm at The Actors Company Theatre (TACT).

The Master Class is open to the public and is free of charge. Liz Robertson gave an affectionate musical tribute to her late husband, Alan Jay Lerner, the internationally acclaimed author of My Fair Lady last night in the theatre districts legendary Don't Tell Mama. My Fair Lady of course began it's Broadway run of 2,717 performances in 1956 at the Mark Hellinger Theatre on 51st Street. Len Cariou and Liz Robertson, stars of the original Broadway production of Dance A Little Closer, the Charles Strouse and Alan Jay Lerner musical, have joined the cast of its previously announced concert adaptation, on Monday, April 16 at 7 pm at the Green Room 42. Presented in honor of composer Charles Strouse's 90th birthday by the Second Act Series, the stars will perform two songs they originated in the legendary, infamous and short-lived Broadway production. The abridged concert will also include never-before-heard songs cut during the show's workshop period.
