OBERON, the American Repertory Theater's (A.R.T.) second stage and club theater venue, presents A Ride on the Irish Cream, written and created by Erin Markey and directed by Jordan Fein. Performances begin on Tuesday, February 28 and run through Saturday, March 4 at OBERON, 2 Arrow St, Cambridge.
Balt Shakespeare Factory Opens 2017 Season with Historic ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA

Baltimore Shakespeare Factory (BSF), working closely with world-renowned dialect and original pronunciation (OP) expert Paul Meier, will open its 2017 season with an historic production of Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra, March 31 through April 23 at The Great Hall at St. Mary's Community Center. BSF's presentation will be the very first time that modern audiences will be able to hear Antony and Cleopatra spoken the way Shakespeare's audiences would have heard it when it was first performed in the early 1600s.

The Artistic Home Artistic Director Kathy Scambiatterra announced today that the company will perform By the Bog of Cats; a drama by Irish playwright Marina Carr (The Mai) that premiered at Dublin's Abbey Theatre in 1998 and was produced in London's West End in a 2004 production starring Holly Hunter.

The Nation, a compelling new play by lauded playwright Marcus Gardley (The House that Will Not Stand, The Gospel of Lovingkindness, Every Tongue Confess, On The Levee). These two gripping dramas make their Off-Broadway debut at The New Victory Theater from March 17 - 26, 2017.
Drama Book Shop Welcomes Back Dame Harriet Walter for Discussion on Her New Book

The Drama Book Shop is pleased to welcome back Dame Harriet Walter for a discussion about her new book, Brutus and Other Heroines: Playing Shakespeare's Roles for Women, on Monday, February 6th at 5:00PM. Walter will sit down with theatre critic and historian David Finkel for an intimate conversation about tackling some of the Bard's greatest roles, and her latest theatrical adventure at St. Ann's Warehouse. The event is free to the public and will be followed by a signing. Copies of the new title, published by Nick Hern Books, will be available for purchase ($26.95).

With nine Tony Award nominations under its belt, SOMETHING ROTTEN! closed on Broadway on January 1, 2017, and barely took a breather before hitting the road with three of its principal players reprising their roles. Director/choreographer Casey Nicholaw brings Rob McClure, Adam Pascal, and Josh Grisetti on the National Tour that launches in Boston at the Opera House.
