For my final project in dramaturgy, I created a casebook on the global sensation Come From Away. My 42 page casebook dove into the musical’s development and historical background, production history, and more. However, my favorite part of the casebook was writing a short dramaturg note that would be hypothetically included in the show’s playbill.
BWW Review: North Carolina Theatre's RING OF FIRE

Ring of Fire is a musical presented as a concert by a group of five performers playing the songs of legendary country music artist Johnny Cash. The show, which was conceived by William Meade and created by Richard Maltby, Jr., opened on March 12th, 2006 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Broadway. Sadly, it only ran for 57 performances after closing on April 30th of that year. This production presented by North Carolina Theatre happens to be directed by Randy Redd, who was a member of the original Broadway cast.
WBTT's Young Artist Program To Feature Derric Gobourne Jr., May 16

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe will present the ninth year of its annual Young Artist Program, through which Troupe members are able to showcase their talents with self-produced, one-person shows. WBTT's first Young Artist showcase of the 2021-2022 season features singer/dancer/actor Derric Gobourne Jr. in a presentation titled “SH!NE.” The showcase will take place Monday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m.
