Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers and commentators for media covering New York theatre announced today its award winners for the 2017-18 season in 27 categories.

This year's TONY AWARDS nominations have just been announced by Katharine McPhee and Leslie Odom Jr. and here they are, celebrating the best of the 2017-18 theatre season (and what a season it's been!) The 2018 TONY AWARDS will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, on Sunday, June 10th on CBS. Our official Tony coverage kicks off - NOW!

Amas Musical Theatre(Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) and The Amas Musical Theatre Lab will present further staged readings of Play It by Heart, a new musical, with music by David Spangler, Jerry Taylorand Marty Dodson, lyrics byDavid Spangler, Jerry Taylor,R.T. Robinson, and Marty Dodson, and book byWilly Holtzman. Directed by Daniel Goldsteinwith music direction by Andrew Wilder, the readings (by invitation only) will be held on Thursday, May 17 at 1pm and 5pm at Opry City Stage (48th/49th& Broadway).

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) today announced the 2018 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The nominations were announced this morning by Tony® Award winners Harriet Harris, Julie White and Tony® Award nominee Christopher Sieber at the official announcement event at Sardi's Restaurant, which was streamed live online right here at BroadwayWorld.com.

Sixthman, the industry leader in festivals at sea who recently celebrated the milestone of taking guests on over 1,000,000 days of vacation at sea, is excited to announce the first wave of festivals at sea for the 2019 season. Fans aboard the recent sailings of The Outlaw Country Cruise, The Rock Boat, truTV's Impractical Jokers Cruise and Cayamo in 2018 were treated to advance news that each would return for another journey. 2019 will mark a return to Florida for Sixthman as the Spring sailings will depart from Tampa starting in the end of January. The cast and creative team of Broadway's SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: THE MUSICAL were profiled on this morning's CBS SUNDAY MORNING. The show, which began preview performances on Monday, November 6th will officially open tomorrow, Monday, December 4th at The Palace Theatre.
