BWW Review: THE NUTCRACKER, Royal Albert Hall

London is already blessed with two outstanding productions of the Christmas ballet The Nutcracker. Birmingham Royal Ballet now also presents Peter Wright's beautiful version in the challenging space of the Royal Albert Hall for the second year. And what a treat it is.

US cinema audiences will be treated to The Royal Ballet's holiday favorite The Nutcracker with screenings on various dates around the country through December 30. Elmhurst Ballet School, the school in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet, announces details of Elmhurst Ballet Company, the first-ever company for the school's Graduate Year. Elmhurst Ballet Company will launch in 2019 with Origins, an evening of dance, at Elmhurst's studio theatre in Edgbaston, Birmingham on 8 & 9 February, and Sadler's Wells' Lilian Baylis Studio in London on Friday 15 February.

Today it has been announced that David Bintley will step down as Director of Birmingham Royal Ballet on 31 July 2019. When David leaves he will have been Director of the Company for 24 years.
