The T. Schreiber Studio for Theatre & Film, one of the country's foremost professional actor training and performance programs, will celebrate its 48th Anniversary on Monday, March 27th, 2017. The event will also be in celebration of Terry Schreiber's 80th Year.

In celebration of his 80th birthday year, esteemed American composer Philip Glass has been appointed to hold the Richard and Barbara Debs Composer's Chair at Carnegie Hall for the 2017-2018 season. The yearlong residency will present performances that feature both Glass classics and premieres: American Composers Orchestra dedicates a program to composers inspired by Glass; the Philip Glass Ensemble and the San Francisco Girls Chorus perform his groundbreaking but rarely performed masterpiece, Music with Changing Parts, as part of the citywide festival The '60s: The Years that Changed America; notable premieres include a string quartet for the JACK Quartet and arrangements by composer Nico Muhly of lesser-known Glass songs-both Carnegie Hall commissions; additionally, the Louisiana Philharmonic andPacific Symphony both make their Carnegie Hall debuts in programs selected, in part, by Glass in response to invitations extended to U.S. orchestras to submit programs that place important works by the composer in illuminating contexts. In response to popular demand, The Pearl Theatre Company extends Shelagh Delaney's A Taste of Honey to October 30. Directed by Austin Pendleton, this production marks the play's first New York revival in 35 years.

T. Schreiber Theatre, under the direction of Terry Schreiber and Peter Jensen, celebrates its 48th season with an eclectic mix of established plays and new works. The season opens with the New York revival of Stephen Adly Guirgis play The Motherf**ker with the Hat directed by Peter Jensen, which premiered on Broadway in 2011 and was nominated for 6 Tony awards. The season also includes Schreiber Shorts, an Evening Of One-Act Plays to feature 8 new works. Founder Terry Schreiber will direct the spring production, Loose Ends, the well known drama by Michael Weller. The season will culminate with the New Works Project, directed by Jake Turner, which will showcase a workshop production of one full length play. The season will be produced in full by Halle Morse, T. Schreiber's recently appointed Producing Director.
