With the Covid-19 lockdown occurring just a month before the Easter and Passover holidays, playwright Marc Palmieri was inspired to write a play specifically for an online platform: in a live conference call, the techno-challenged members of a small church struggle to mount their annual Passion Play on Zoom (Act 1) and then follow up their success a?" or lack of it a?" with a presentation of a medieval mystery play (Act 2).  

Once again, Spanish online theatre magazine Primera Fila joins Pride in a very special way. Starring some of the world's best-known artists and activists, the site has released an original video featuring motivational phrases of love and support to the LGBT+ community.

Streaming Passion, possibly the first-ever full ensemble play written for livestreaming, will be presented by The Theater Project at 7:30 PM, Sunday, April 26 as part of The New Jersey Theatre Alliance's Stages Online. Performances will continue through February 16, 2020.

Lifetime greenlights two Beyond the Headlines companion documentaries, with award-winning journalist and New York Times best-selling author Gretchen Carlson, to join the network's upcoming Ripped from the Headlines slate. Following the movie premieres of Escaping the NXIVM Cult: A Mother's Fight to Save Her Daughter and The College Admissions Scandal, the new one-hour documentaries produced by A+E Originals, will offer provocative insights and an in-depth look at the people and stories behind the news which captivated the nation. This marks Carlson's second collaboration with Lifetime, as she executive produced and reported on workplace sexual harassment in the documentary Gretchen Carlson: Breaking the Silence.

Lifetime has greenlit the new movie, NXIVM Cult: A Mother's Nightmare (working title), centering on the shocking true story of Catherine Oxenberg and her fight to save her daughter India from a dangerous sex cult. Andrea Roth (Rescue Me) takes on the role of Catherine while Peter Facinelli (Twilight) stars as Keith Raniere, the charming and charismatic secret organization leader with devious motives. Jasper Polish (Devil's Whisper) also stars as India and Sara Fletcher (Secret Girlfriend) portrays Keith's associate in the cult, actress Allison Mack.

Amanda Grace Benitez stars in the Awesomeness Films comedy, THE F*CK IT LIST opposite Eli Brown, Peter Facinelli, Natalie Zea, Marcus Scribner, Camryn Manheim, and Jerry O'Connell. The story of a high school senior's viral list of the things he wishes he'd done is helmed by Michael Duggan. THE F*CK IT LIST opens nationwide Summer 2019.

In the newest SUPERGIRL trailer, fans get a first look at actress Nicole Maines as Nia Nal, who is CatCo's newest reporter. Nal will become the superhero Dreamer. Maines will be TV's first transgender superhero. 

Freestyle Digital Media, the Digital Film Distribution division of Byron Allen's Entertainment Studios, has acquired the domestic rights to BREAKING & EXITING, a dark comedy/romance that highlights the world of suicide prevention, which is the directorial debut of Peter Facinelli (who portrayed Dr. Cullen in the TWILIGHT SAGA). The film stars Milo Gibson, in his first leading role, and Jordan Hinson, who also wrote the original screenplay, and Adam Huber, and was produced by the all-female trio of Martine Melloul, for Kali Pictures, Cecile Cubilo and Hinson. Andrew van den Houten is executive producing, along with Melloul. The film will be available in theaters and on digital platforms on August 17th, 2018 and DVD on September 18, 2018.
