New Jersey actor/director/producer turned Broadway Producer, Scott Hart is one of the people bringing A CHRISTMAS STORY, THE MUSICALl from the road to New York. BroadwayWorld was able to catch up with him during this busy time to discuss the show.

Producers Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel and Howard & Janet Kagan announced today that THE ANARCHIST, a new play written and directed by DAVID MAMET starring PATTI LuPONE and DEBRA WINGER, previously announced to be presented at the Lyceum Theatre, will now be presented on Broadway at the newly refurbished Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL opens on Broadway tonight, August 1, 2012 at The St. James Theatre. Hollywood…ROCKIN' WITH THE AGES & THE PINK LADY present the World Premiere production of THE BEAT GOES ON! A Musical Celebration of the Young at Heart, featuring musical direction by David O, and written, choreographed and directed by Ovation Award-winner Cate Caplin. THE BEAT GOES ON! Jeff Croiter is this year's recipient of the Tony Award for Best Lighting Design of a Play for PETER AND THE STARCATCHER. Not typically in front of the corwd, Croiter sat down with BroadwayWorld to talk all about his shining moment.

The 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival presents the world premiere of How Deep Is The Ocean?, a new American musical with music and lyrics by Peter Cincotti ("Metropolis"), book by Pia Cincotti, and directed by Jeremy Dobrish (Rated P, Date of a Lifetime, The Joys of Sex, Signs of Life) and Gina Rattan (resident director, Billy Elliott). How Deep Is The Ocean? plays July 12th at 8:00pm, July 14 at 1:00pm, July 16 at 9:00pm, July 19th at 5:00 pm, July 19 at 9:00pm, and July 21 at 1:00pm at The Theater at St. Clements (423 W. 46th Street).

A casting notice has revealed potential July starting dates for a new actor to take over for the Tony-nominated Christian Borle as 'Black Stache' in Peter and the Starcatcher when he departs (as expected) for the filming of season two of NBC's SMASH. We're told by a production source that no official date has been set for Borle's last performance, which remains to be determined.

The producers of Peter and the Starcatcher, the new Broadway hit written by Tony® Award-nominee Rick Elice (Jersey Boys) and directed by Tony® Award-winner Roger Rees (Nicholas Nickleby) and Tony® Award-nominee Alex Timbers (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, The Pee-wee Herman Show), have announced that a new block of tickets are now on sale for the season's most Tony-nominated play.
