Last Sunday National Youth Theatre of Great Britain collaborated with talented young fashion designer and recent NYT alumnus Steven Stokey-Daley on his S.S. Daley's London Fashion Week debut, as part of the British Fashion Council’s NewGen showcase, in partnership with TikTok at the Old Selfridges Hotel.

The new work, to be performed outdoors at Portchester Castle in Hampshire this summer, is a response to a colonial and racist production performed at the castle by French captives in the early 19th century.  With a fresh perspective on the history of Portchester's Black prisoners of war and the Caribbean uprisings, The Ancestors re-examines the past and offers a new voice to the people involved.

Royal & Derngate and The National Youth Theatre have announced a new partnership committed to providing outstanding vocational learning opportunities in theatre for up to 500 young people aged 14 to 21 in Summer 2021.

Today National Youth Theatre have launched Hub, a new, accessible subscription service in replacement of audition fees. The Hub subscription includes a new online platform that will give users access to live and pre-recorded workshops with actors and online resources for only £2 a month or £24 for the year.

On Earth Day, the National Youth Theatre (NYT) in partnership with the University of Hull announces MELT, a major new three-year project exploring climate change and culminating in an outdoor processional piece with a cast of 1000 young people.

The National Youth Theatre hosted its annual fundraising gala on Tuesday 11 February, this year to the theme 'Baroque 'n' Roll' at Spencer House. The event was attended by VIP guests, past alumni and current NYT performers and featured music and theatre performances, auctions and fundraising events to raise a record-breaking £230,000. The funds will support The National Youth Theatre's ongoing projects to create more opportunities for young people from across the UK from all backgrounds.

The National Youth Theatre (NYT) has been awarded £2,000,000 from the Mayor of London's Good Growth Fund to undergo a major renovation to its Holloway Road building in North London. The National Youth Theatre (NYT) today announces full casting for its 2019 REP Season which opens this month with the London premiere of Neil Bartlett's adaptation of Great Expectations followed by an Artificial Intelligence-inspired and female-led production of Frankenstein both at Southwark Playhouse (18 October to 30 November). The 2019 company of 16 actors, aged 18-25, includes newcomers Guy Clark, Ella Dacres, Natalie Dunne, Jordan Ford Silver, Jamie Foulkes, Alice Franziska, Billy Hinchliff, Jadie Hobson, Bede Hodgkinson, Tiwalade Ibirogba Olulode, Julia Kass, Sarah Lusack, Jemima Mayala, Joseph Payne, Sonny Poon Tip, Raj Singh.

F. Off comes to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer, inviting the audience to become judge and jury in a new production that sees the Facebook generation put the social network on trial, presented by the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain (NYT).

Today Underbelly announces the final 91 shows joining its Fringe programme this August. With a huge range of star names, challenging and intriguing topics and a host of great music this is set to be one of the most entertaining year's yet beneath George Square's udders and across Bristo Square, the Cowgate, Circus Hub and Central Hall.
