The Brooklyn Beat was a collective of bands that coalesced around Park Slope's Lauterbach', the boroughs answer to CBGB, from the late-1980s - mid-1990s. Warre was a member of several bands, Chemical Wedding, led by scene and The Shirts' founder Bob Raccippio, and his own band, Tornado Room.

Celebrate the end of summer with the Raue Center as they welcome Philip Hamilton back to Crystal Lake. Hamilton is the featured artist on August 28th at the Raue's Arts on the Green at Saint Mary's Episcopal Church, located at 210 McHenry Ave.

Patchogue Theatre's grand re-opening will take place on Friday, September 24th preceding The Moondog's performance of The Beatles White Album. The Monterey Jazz Festival have announced that tickets for its 64th edition have sold out for the weekend of September 24-26. Tickets went on sale to the general public on July 14 and officially sold out on July 20.

20-time Grammy Award-winner Pat Metheny brings his Side-Eye tour, with pianist James Francies and drummer Joe Dyson, to Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, produced in conjunction with The Bowery Presents, on Sunday, November 14th at 7:00pm.

Led by musical director Mitchel Forman on piano, the band will also feature Melvin David on bass, Tony Pulizzi on guitar, and Gene Coye on drums. Haris will be joined by special guest Grammy Award-winner Steve Tyrell.
