Firecracker Productions Announces 2021-2022 Season

February introduces two Houston premieres with short plays Burden of Proof by Houston's own Cris Eli Blak, and Wedding Bash by Andrew Leeds and Lindsay Kraft. The season closes in the late spring with the epic journey of Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's Bob: A Life in Five Acts, the highly unusual life of Bob and his lifelong quest to become a Great Man.

Telly Leung, Michael James Scott, Nancy Opel and More Join SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD in Radial Park

Last seen in the title role of Aladdin, Telly Leung (he/him) lends his talents to “The World Was Dancing” for the evening. Another Aladdin alum, Michael James Scott (he/him) will take on the soaring, penultimate number “Flying Home” before returning to the New Amsterdam this fall. Following her recent turn in the Broadway company of Wicked, Tony nominee Nancy Opel (she/her) will show off her comedic chops in “Just One Step,” while Bre Jackson (The Color Purple, The Book of Mormon; she/her) gives voice to “The Flagmaker, 1775.”

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati Announces 2021-2022 Season

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati will reopen its doors for a five-show 2021-2022 Season, reprising its production of the 2018 Obie Award-winning play Pipeline by Dominique Morisseau. In addition to Pipeline, ETC will present Cinderella, Queen, a double bill of I Shall Not Be Moved and Your Negro Tour Guide, and Tiny Beautiful Things.

Opera Fuoco Releases Mini-Series FIGARO IN THE CITY On Marquee TV

Conceived by Opera Fuoco Artistic Director David Stern and presented in partnership with Marquee TV, Figaro in the City is a modern-day retelling of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro. Conductor David Stern collaborated with videographer and stage-director Alexandre Camerlo to forge the artistic direction of this contemporary adaptation of the 18th-century classic.

Celebrate Black History Month 2021 On VIFF Connect

The Vancouver International Film Festival Society is delighted to announce this year's Black History Month series curated by Nya Lewis and titled Everywhere We Are. The series is a celebration of Black resilience, Black liberation, Cinema for the Movement.
