Rehearsals are now underway for the first Broadway revival of the American comedy Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch by legendary Ossie Davis will officially open on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at The Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th St.). Previews will begin on Thursday, September 7.

BUZZ, Son of a Bee...an actor's life for me is an effervescent new musical comedy that joyfully weaves together the lives of eight individuals.

BUZZ is a timely musical with two hearts-One, the coming together of eight diverse characters who eventually form a Company, and in so doing, a Connection, via a strange catalyst...Bees. Saving bees--one song at a time--and spreading love & laughter--that's what makes this musical sparkle

Joseph Macchia produced his first show in 1997 a show called Gwen Verdon and All Her Jazz, a show his brother Peter had written and starred in. Being bit by the producing bug, Joseph would go on to produce his brother's next show Judy and Me originally a one night solo show at the Duplex, Judy and Me would be turned into a play, and was booked for four nights at Rose's Turn. Where the show would wind up running for two years and then go and tour around the country. After Judy and Me toured the show took a break before returning to New York in an Off Off Broadway Run and then Off Broadway run. Since Judy and Me Joseph has created and produced numerous shows in New York City,

A special limited-engagement run of BUZZ...Son of a Bee, a new musical comedy spotlighting the actor's life is set to open March 24th at The Sargent Theatre.

Vampingo Productions has announced that it will present a condensed (75-minute) presentation of Buzz...Son of a Bee, a new musical comedy spotlighting the actor's life - featuring a book by Andrew Johns, lyrics by Ariana Johns and music by Darryl Curry.
