Jazz Vocalist/storyteller Shoshana Bush will appear at The Cornelia Street Cafe, on Friday June 27th at 6pm, singing the adventurous mix of jazz and American Songbook standards and not so standards for which she's popular on both coasts. According to a listing on Telecharge.com, SOUL DOCTOR, which ran on Broadway last year at the Circle in the Square Theatre, will reappear off-Broadway this season. The production is set to begin performances December 1st at the Actors Temple Theatre, with an opening slated for December 15, 2014. No word yet on who will star, but BWW will keep you updated as we learn more!

The entire month of August 2014 will be dedicated to the creation of original works at Trustus Theatre. The month will kick off with the world premiere of the 2013 winner of the Trustus Playwrights' Festival: Deborah Brevoort's The Velvet Weapon. The show will open August 8th at 8:00pm, and run through August 16, 2014. Trustus will host a reading of the winning script from the 2014 Trustus Playwrights' Festival on August 16th at 2:00pm.
