Birmingham Hippodrome has announced casting for the upcoming UK tour of Kinky Boots . Kayi Ushe will play the role of Lola, Paula Lane, known for her role as Kylie Platt in Coronation Street, will play Lauren and Joel Harper-Jackson will play Charlie.

The Belgrade Theatre has announced the cast for its Coventry Musical Godiva Rocks, including Niki Evans who wowed the judges on the 2007 series of ITV's X Factor. From Aberdeen to Plymouth, over 60 well-known actors, comedians and entertainers will lead the casts of the nation's favourite pantomimes in theatres across the country including, for the first time in nearly three decades, a return to the capital's London Palladium.

Stars of theatre and screen take to the stage next month for this year's gilt-edged line-up of Qdos Entertainment pantomimes, 24 of which will come to life across the UK this winter.

Cinderella is probably the most popular pantomime of all and QDOS have many productions of this around the country as well as other favourites. Last night I went to see Wolverhampton's version of the classic and it was as lavish and flamboyant as you would expect…and that isn't even taking into account Julian Clary's costumes!
