Outcry is staging the show with four casts, two are all boys and two are all girls.  Run - August 17 - Sept 3.

Senhor das Moscas (Lord of the Flies), a 1954 novel by Nobel Prize-winning English author William Golding opens at Teatro do SESI for free season from May 4 to December 3. With direction by Ze Henrique de Paula, musical direction by Fernanda Maia, cast of 13 actors, and  translation by Herbert Bianchi and Ze Henrique de Paula; the story's premise focuses on a group of British boys stranded on an uninhabited island and their attempt to govern themselves, with disastrous results.

LORD OF THE FLIES opened this past weekend at Playhouse on the Square, and runs through March 26.

Young Vic has released a short film honoring legendary director Peter Brook with a star-studded cast, including Ian McKellen, Natalie Dormer, Jude Law, David Lan, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Rory Kinnear, Marcello Magni, Sinead Matthews, Hugh Skinner, Noma Dumezweni, and Peter Brook himself.

Originally staged in 1984, The Importance remains the only musical adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest to run in London. After a limited run here, the production found a new lease of life in Peterborough two years later under a different title, Born in a Handbag. This recording has been a labour of love with over twenty years in production and is being released by Stage Door Records at the end of this month.

Stage Door Records are pleased to announce that the previously unreleased studio cast recording of the 1984 West End musical 'The Importance' will be released on February 26th, 2016. The CD release continues Stage Door's commitment to preserve 'lost' British theatre scores of the past 50 years.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced casting and creative team details for the regional premiere of Lord of the Flies, directed by Kelsey Leigh Ervi. The production, based on the William Golding novel and adapted for the stage by Nigel Williams, will run January 22 - February 14, 2016. Individual tickets to Lord of the Flies will go on sale December 15 at 12 noon and will be available by calling 972-450-6232 or online at www.watertowertheatre.org. The cast of LORD OF THE FLIES just celebrated opening night in London, just before the production embarks on a six-month UK tour. The sold-out run at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre ends this Saturday, with a UK tour launching from New Victoria Theatre, Woking next Wednesday 16 September. Now in its 15th year, Park Slope's Piper Theatre Productions (Piper) continues to produce innovative, accessible theater; foster emerging talent; and support local youth through a rigorous summer theater program. This summer, Piper is excited to partner with the Romanian Cultural Institute, travel to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, screen original student films alongside an indie work, and present fantastic family theater that will engage the community and excite veteran theatergoers and newbies alike. All performances are free and take place outdoors at the Old Stone House's Washington Park field on 4th Avenue in Park Slope.

Terry Martin, WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director, today announced details of the Company's 2015-2016 Main Stage season. Some highlights of the season include one World Premiere Musical and four Regional Premieres. WaterTower Theatre is expanding its regular Main Stage subscription series from five to six shows next season.

Casting for Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's 2015 production of J.M Barrie's Peter Pan has today been announced, with lead casting for The Seagull and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers also confirmed. The season opens for previews on 15 May.

LA-based Chadwick School has been selected to pilot the first-ever American school production of Zorro the Musical.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has confirmed that J.M. Barrie's original stage play of Peter Pan will open its 2015 season (15 May - 14 June 2015). This will be followed by The Seagull (19 June - 11 July) and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers(16 July - 29 August). Following sell-out performances in 2011, Timothy Sheader's production of William Golding's Lord of the Flies will then return to the Open Air Theatre (3 - 12 September) to conclude the 2015 season, prior to a major UK tour.
