The 2014 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were handed out tonight at NYU Skirball Center, hosted by acclaimed husband and wife actors and comedians, Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman. This year's event once again benefited The Actors Fund.

SINCE AFRICA, a new play by Mia McCullough about a Lost Boy of Sudan-- both lost in his native land and lost as he attempts to adjust to his new home in America - will be given its NY premiere following successful productions at San Diego's Old Globe, Philadelphia's InterAct, and Chicago Dramatists theatres with performances starting February 20 and an official press opening on February 23 in a production by New York's Red Fern Theatre Company at The Theater at the 14th Street Y (344 E. 14 St. between 1st and 2nd Ave. in NYC). The play is directed by Nancy Robillard.
On February 4, 'Call Me Maybe' singer Carly Rae Jepsen will replace Laura Osnes as the title role in Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, currently playing at the Broadway Theatre. London-based Punchdrunk-best known in New York as the creators of Sleep No More-just opened its first venture into restaurants with The Heath at The McKittrick Hotel (542 W 27th Street, New York, NY), one of New York's most unique nightlife and entertainment destinations. In collaboration with EMURSIVE (Jonathan Hochwald, Arthur Karpati, and Randy Weiner) and Chef R.L. King, Punchdrunk has crafted a dining experience in the spirit of Sleep No More to compliment Chef King's menu, which is a modern take on classic American and British fare.
