The American premiere of a new musical based on the iconic novel by Bret Easton Ellis, which recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of its publication, stars Benjamin Walker (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) as Patrick Bateman. Atlantic Theater Company just presented their Annual Gala last night, March 7, at The Pierre (2 East 61 Street). Actors' Choice celebrated Atlantic's actors with a fabulous evening of unexpected songs, honoring David Richenthal and the Richenthal Foundation for their long-term support of Atlantic's mission. This year, Atlantic asked a slate of favorite Atlantic actors to choose a song they love and a favorite musician to perform it. Directed by Neil Pepe with musical direction by Matt Gallagher, Actors' Choice was an evening of unexpected songs and celebration. Just last night, the Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust hosted the 2015 Steinberg Playwright Awards honoring Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and Dominique Morisseau at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65th Street, New York, NY 10023). The event featured readings byJocelyn Bioh, Marc Damon Johnson, Jason Dirden, Austin Durant, Dominique Fishback, Lynda Gravatt, Nikiya Mathis, Chris Myers, Carra Patterson, Will Rogers, Michele Shay and Brian Tyree Henry.
If this Jamie deRoy 25th Anniversary Show was competing against some of those great Ed Sullivan variety episodes it would have been no contest. First of all, Jamie knows how to give an introduction, is an entertainer herself, and the best in entertainment business sign up to be in a Jamie deRoy & friends show . The Actors Fund presented this 40th annual 30th Jamie Birthday show and it was truly a spectacular event with some of the most talented performers on the stage at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at the john Jay College of Criminal Justice. The only crime last night was that the event wasn't televised live but I'm sure excerpts will be available on Jamie's cable TV show and through the facilities of The Actors Fund.

Rita Moreno returns to music with her first all Spanish Album- Una Vez Mas. The album was produced by Grammy winning producer Emilio Estefan and Nicholas Tovar. The album contains for the first time in Spanish, 'Somewhere' from West Side Story. Rita is the first Hispanic artist to win all four major American entertainment award including an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy and a Tony. In December, Rita will receive the Kennedy Center Honor.

Osnes made her Birdland solo concert debut with an intimate show accompanied by pianist/musical director Fred Lassen in 'An Evening With Laura Osnes.'
