New York Theatre Barn will present a virtual presentation of the company’s Choreography Lab featuring Maria Torres’ Sol of El Barrio on June 30th, 2022 at 7PM on the company’s YouTube channel.

New York Theatre Barn will present a special edition of the company’s Choreography Lab with Sol of El Barrio on May 11th, 2022 at Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater (304 W 47th St.) in NYC. This lab is produced in conjunction with Maria Torres Emerging Artists Foundation, co-founded by Vanessa Williams, John O’Connor and Maria Torres.

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month Congressman Adirano Esppaillat of New York's 13th Congressional district kicked off New York Theatre Barn's third installment of A Seat at the Table roundtable series which featured A Panel of Latinx Theatre Creators.

This original musical celebrates Latinx people and cultures, and weaves their stories into the fabric of the American Musical Theatre. Featuring a predominately all-Latinx cast, there has never been beena musical like this -- until now. The show has additional music and orchestrations by Jeff Chambers.

A Jewish saint battles the Spanish Inquisition over the conquest of Peru in the new musical Occasion for Sin, with script and lyrics by Katherine Brann Fredricks, based on the writings of Teresa of Avila and Garcilaso de la Vega, and music by three-time Grammy-winner, Oriente Lopez. Lin-Manuel Miranda's first Broadway show In the Heights recently opened at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in New Jersey, to sold-out performances.

Directed and choreographed by original Broadway cast member Luis Salgado, IN THE HEIGHTS at APAC will run March 11th to the 26 at the The Axelrod Performing Arts Center.
